2021 was the year when, after years of holding my pencils and pens way too tight, my drawing hand finally rebelled. I seem to have some sort of arthritis on my thumb which makes certain kinds of work painful. Fortunately I was able to pivot from ink and markers to digital work and painting, and I’ve been hard at work getting more comfortable with these mediums.

The Random Acts of Cat portraits in 2021 were all acrylic paintings! Some were done on tiny canvases, some on canvas paper, and some on wood.
